Swimming

We all went swimming at a friend's house this morning. The boys had a ball despite their nervousness at the beginning. Cora would've rather been napping but she went in the water a little with me.

Sugar

McCance sat between Grandma and Grandpa H yesterday at dinner. He started smooching his Grandma and wouldn't stop. We weren't fast enough to get the actual kiss, but the before/after is pretty cute.

He's really progressed in his Lego abilities. Not long ago his vehicles were much more basic.

Our Excursion to Mayfield Dairy

The "leader" of our homeschool co-op is a wonderful woman who happens to be from Australia. Instead of field trips we get to go on excursions. Doesn't that just sound lovely? Hence the new word that will replace summer family outings.

We went to Mayfield Dairy in Braselton, Georgia last Thursday--about 25 miles from our house. We toured the plant where they produce milk and then sampled the ice cream which is made in Athens, Tennessee. Contrary to belief there were no cows. (McCance thought the place would be surrounded with cows.)

Everyone had to don a hair net before the tour could begin.
(Cora didn't need one only because she was sound asleep in the Moby wrap.)

Families who eat ice cream together. . . are happy.

Bradford's favorite dessert item

McCance isn't so keen on ice cream because it's so cold, so I got to finish his!

Can't Resist

I am sharing these pics even though I think this is the third time that these longies have been featured in three months. Lo and behold, the turtle shirt looks like it's made to go with them. (In case I haven't given proper credit, my friend, Stephanie, knitted these. She does beautiful work.)

Look What Cora Can Do!

Closet Models

Scott is improving our closets. Simply cosmetic, but very nice. The boys are showing off his finished work while having some fun.

The Wagon Incident

The end results of "The Wagon Incident", which is what can happen when you have two boys who get too wild inside. So their mother, desiring some peace and quiet, sends them outside unsupervised. They pretend the sides of the wagon are surfboards for a bit. Then one changes it into a gun. The other gets mad and throws the "surfboard" at the other boy.

Farmer's Market

Saturday just Bradford and I went to Daily Groceries to fill up on yeast for bread baking and some oatmeal. On our way home we snuck in a quick stop at the Athens Farmer's Market to check out the veggies. We went for the cabbage and some snazzy, purple kohlrabi. The Black-eyed Susan was a bonus because Bradford is cute. We also bought some muffins to share with Scott and McCance, but they didn't last for the photo.

Just Because

she's so cute--even when she's crying.

She's Growing

and it's evident in her sweet cheeks and that roll in her thighs.

Here's Proof

that her hair does actually get brushed!
