Midwest Tour--Day 6

We had a busy schedule this morning. It's been really rainy and wet here in Iowa, so we went to the mall where the boys could play on a dry playground. Check them out climbing the grapes and sliding down the celery. Notice that we are no longer in the land of Red and Black--they were quite fascinated with the Hawkeye.

We watched an ice skater practicing on the rink in the mall before checking out the children's museum. The boys took turns shopping at the grocery store and being the checkout clerk, then they built with pipes, pegboard, blocks and other materials in the construction area. We'll have to return on another visit, as it was nearing lunch and naptime. Notice McCance's shopping cart--I suggested that he pick out a few cookies in the bakery section. So he did. And then a few more and some muffins--and then he proceeded to pick up the tray of cookies and dump the entire thing into his little cart. My dad will be tickled!
